Many teachers know that relationships matter, but aren’t sure how to build them deliberately in the press of a busy day. This session bridges that gap. Rather than dwelling on theory, we focus on the small, repeatable changes that make the biggest difference — the greetings, check-ins, conversations and repairs that turn a classroom into a place where pupils feel known, safe and willing to try.
Delivered by a specialist who works in successful inclusive settings, the session is hands-on and grounded in real classroom examples. We look at practical ways to build trust with the pupils who need it most, strengthen connection across the whole class, and repair relationships when things go wrong — so that behaviour improves because belonging does.
Staff leave with a shared language for relationships and a toolkit they can use immediately: from simple routines for starting and ending lessons well, to strategies for building individual connections without adding time to your day.
A mix of input, group discussion and practical activity. We tailor examples to your phase and context, and every delegate receives a follow-up resource pack.
