Many teachers meet pupils with a range of needs and aren’t sure where to begin — or worry that what works for one child won’t work for another. This session bridges that gap. Rather than presenting a checklist of conditions, we take a needs-led approach: looking at the behaviour you can see, the need underneath it, and the adaptive responses that help every learner access the lesson.
Delivered by a specialist who works in successful inclusive settings, the session is hands-on and grounded in real classroom examples across autism, ADHD, SEMH, DLD and FASD. We explore the common threads between these needs, the key differences that matter in practice, and how to adapt your teaching flexibly — without a separate plan for every child.
Staff leave with a shared language for inclusion and a toolkit they can use immediately: from simple environmental and communication adjustments, to strategies for scaffolding learning and responding to dysregulation in ways that keep pupils engaged and included.
A mix of input, group discussion and practical activity. We tailor examples to your phase and context, and every delegate receives a follow-up resource pack.
